Do I need COVID-19 testing for travel? If so, what kind of testing do I need?

MIT COVID-19 travel policies change frequently and are based on the traveler’s vaccination status and travel destination. For up-to-date information on international testing requirements, including testing requirements for travel, visit U.S. Department of State’s COVID-19 Country Information.

Where can I get COVID-19 testing prior to travel?

To find testing sites in Massachusetts, visit the Massachusetts Department of Public Health website, airport websites, or check with local urgent care centers.

Does MIT Medical provide COVID-19 testing for travel?

Covid Pass users may use Institute-administered test results for travel if it meets the entry requirements for their destination.

MIT Medical patients can have PCR COVID-19 testing done at Medical for a charge of approximately $75. Note that, while the turnaround time for COVID-19 PCR test results is generally less than 72 hours, this timetable is not guaranteed.

MIT Medical only does PCR testing for COVID-19 – please carefully review the testing  requirements for your destination.
